While this is not exclusive to .tv extensions... it is "TV viewing behaviour"!
I noticed that with my new full screen format for GalleryGuide.TV, along with some automatic page-turning/navigation, that 28% of the sites visitors are spending "more than an hour" on the site!
This is way more than my other sites, and much more than the previous 9% on GGTV. I think this is a very marketable number, IMO --and I am wondering if anyone knows what the web average is? I don't recall seeing such a stat but I am sure it exists... somewhere.
Also, it made me think that TV style content formats (full screen, w/ self- changing visuals, and audio), simulates actual video and the viewer slips into a familar (tv) viewer role. This can be a way for .tv sites distinguish themselves. Mimicking ".com" site formats may actually hinder the .TV brand.
Any thoughts on this??
