Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

Have any of you been tempted to hold onto one of your VR domains and develop it?

yes I've been tempted.
but I resist temptations well.
but I know some people here develop a lot.
it's not for everyone. but could pay in longer run.
depends on names too.

Congrats on the VRHero offer. It's certainly a nice name.

I passed on VRTourists. Plural doesn't make sense to me. Good luck though. Someone will buy it for sure!

VR + Tourism = :$:.

Got mid XXX offer for VR Hero in king.

And latest catch from godaddy: VR Tourists

Lucid, were you sitting on those premium VR domains for a long time or did you acquire them recently?

vr tourists is nice

vr hero nice too.. I think vrking went for mid xxx recently.

I'd say vrhero is a bit better than king.. gut that could be matter of opinion

Thank you, I think both has good brandable potential and I plan to hold it for few more months/years + HeroVR is owned by company who provides "vacation rentals".

I think a few of us have been very fortunate over the past year to pick up some decent VR domains from the drops or at a great deal price. This whoever is now much harder as domainers have caught onto the potential of VR.... Exciting times ahead.

We will see a lot more sales in VR and most likely more will be from domain investors than end users.

IMO we will see some good sales this year but in a few years from now they will be significant VR sales and many with NDA.

There are so many companies entering the VR,AR, Holo space that they will need domains for their products and services...

True but the flip side is there will be a saturated supply of domains so it is really a case of who has caught the true needs of the VR company best- but I suppose that is the essence of domaining!

I agree with your thoughts, this was even heated up by August last year. Good VR domains were few and far between.

When I had my blog up I posted VR drops & auctions daily, as the list got smaller I just stopped posting them.

Now sales are picking up, and those investors that didn't see the light at the end of the tunnel are now not so afraid to drop good money on nice drops and cheap acquisitions...

Last year was very speculative, now it looks like owing a good VR domain is a very strong investment.

exactly. tat is the esence of domaining.

and the supply of great domains, great keywords, in any niche not just vr, is never satyurdated. it's just limited, and therefore valuable.

Oversaturation is part of the game, give it a couple of years and the market will be a different place.
