Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

Virtual reality? Not for me. Then I turn into Wonder Woman and fly over New York

There are some very exciting things ahead. 2016 is going to be the begging of the VR revolution and it will significantly advance in tech and merge with AR within 3-5years...

Exciting times ahead my friends :)

Hello people, (why) do you guys think vr(word).ext are going to be better domains than virtual(word).ext or virtualreality(word).ext?

I personally wouldn't buy it.If you have some money $100 - $250 check out auctions and buy yourself a decent VR + keyword in the .com extension or VR LLLL.com if you are lucky?

I've taken a risk to buy a few names in the Ngtlds but I also have VR .com domains to cover myself. Domaining in general is a risk but somehow I have a feeling VR will explode and will be much bigger than previous cloud + keyword or keyword + cloud domains. IMO

@serhatkotan did you mean to quote my post or Winfluence's?

@Winfluence, Well, I didn't flag your immersive post because you're not the first to do. I flagged it now, lets see if a moderator agrees with me or not. Petty I know, but I'm curious.

I think we should settle this in VR. Once the BESTVRGAME comes out, we'll fight to the VDEATH. The VRWINNER will become the boss and the loser will forever be known as the CLOWNVR. Do you accept or are you too chicken?

Also @LucidDomains , regarding my guncontroller domain not being related to VR....go to this wikipedia page and tell me what appears in the photo on the right in the "Infantry Immersive Trainer (IIT)". My gun controller domain shouldn't have been deleted...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Immersive_technology

P.S. I don't appreciate you flagging my post just for fun. It's kind of immature to say the least. I feel like you'e bullying me now. And I don't appreciate you writing my domain's full URL when I specifically said GunController(dot)com. That is vindictive, when I've done nothing but come here to share my recent registrations in a showcase thread. Out of all the immersive domains posted here why are you hating on me??? What was it about my domains that made you target me specifically??

And what about the metaverse? We talked about metaverse domains in this tread.(:

We should be allowed to talk about anything VR related...people should be allowed to post all kinds of stuff here without fear of being flagged for not including the letters "V" and "R".

Yes this is a "showcase" thread, but it obviously evolved to be more than that as people are posting links to news articles and immersive tech developments. I must have been super special for Lucid to target me out, but I'm considering ignoring him.

As I said before it's not personal. I would do it to anyone and for the record your not the first person I have singled out. Go back and read this thread, you're probably like the 3rd or 4th.

P.S I don't care if you ignore me or not, it's no skin off my back. By the way, a man would just go ahead and ignore me, a kid were state publically "I'm considering ignoring him". Do what you need to do.

You flag my post for fun and you say it's not personal...when you know immersive has everything to do with VR. That's being a bully. If this is the 4th time you've already been complaining about people posting vr related subjects that don't include the words "vr" why on Earth did you flag my posts if you haven't succeeded in quieting other members of this forum?

You say you're not singling me out, but you obvious are, otherwise you'd flag every immersive / metaverse / ar post in this thread. You're bullying me and i think you need to ask yourself why you chose me to do so, when I've been treating everyone here with respect. Look internally and ask yourself the question buddy!

You have no right to just start flagging my posts for fun like that. You only make yourself look bad...

I have every right just like any other user of this forum. Who are you to decide what rights I do and do not have.

Just to be clear, I didn't really have an issue with your immersive domain post. I had an issue with GUNCONTROLLER (.) COM. Clearly the moderators agreed with me and deleted it.

I'm going to be a man and just add you to ignore. If you want to continue to argue with me, feel free to email me, no one else needs to continue see our adolescent bickering.

I said for "fun" meaning for reasons other than for the good of this forum. That's something you DON'T have a right to do...it's not rocket science. The moderators here work hard to maintain this site and don't need to be bothered with this kind of nonsense.

I don't think anyone mentioned this sale seen at namebio - not mine

realidadevirtual.com 787 USD 2015-10-02 GoDaddy

By the way, I am a lot more interested in reading about domains here than I am in reading and talking about domainers.

just for your information I just received a scam for one of my VR domain name, pretty well done as it look like that you answer to a serious UK reg company ( 123-reg.co.uk)
The email i received was this one :

Hello!

Our client is interested in purchasing ****VR.com

He is a professional investor with 23 years of experience.

I located your contact information in a domain name whois lookup and understand that you own the domain name.

Are you still interested in selling?

I work for a hosting company based in UK.

I help our clients to buy and sell intellectual properties.

Do you have more names? Can you send a list?

Are you an experienced seller?

Best Regards,

Aaron Brown

Then i contact 123-reg.co.uk and here is their answer :

Brian: (14:05): Please note that the email you received was a phishing attempt and the sender is not affiliated with 123-Reg in any way.
Brian: (14:05): The address is designed to look like one of ours, but uses different characters.
Brian: (14:06): We're glad you did, we've encountered this scam attempt in the past but it stopped for a while.
Brian: (14:07): It appears it's back.
Brian: (14:08): I will contact our legal department to investigate this from our end. Thanks for the tip.

A nice acquisition whoever it was. I would have paid double for it.

Also ImmersiveVR.com sold for cheap ($410) according to namebio. Good luck to whoever took that too.

These type of problems are the reasons I use a DLS like sedo.
"IF" I reply to one that looks legit, it is to inform the offering party that the domain is listed at the DLS.
I sell to qualified offers only. Even though I have had many a purchase that never pays.
Having more domains than most, it's a particular tasking set of problems but doing it that way seems to make life easier. It is what you pay the DLS for.

i also use DLS like Sedo to avoid this kind of scam but they always manage to reach your mail box one day :/
i normaly put it directly in the spam folder but the mail adress of this one was a kind of legit so i checked it in case directly with 123-reg and of course didn't directly answer to this email :)

That domain did transfer on the 9th.
Nothing stopping you from making that double the money offer to the new owner.

Could have, Would have will get you nowhere in this biz. Money does most of the talking.
A Domain is worth what someone is willing and able to pay ;)

The VR Landscape Today as viewed in terms of MONEY
A Good Short Read.

What I find interesting is that after the large acquisitions by Facebook and Google, not many new start-ups raising capital. As VR domain'rs, we need start-ups, new money that results in competition! Without it, the names market will be shallow water that you can't swim in.
I guess we will have to see what happens next year.

You guys forget I already spent $10,200 on the biggest public acquisition of a VR domain. No one should really question if I'm all talk.

All public 5 figure domain sales boost the value of everyone's VR domains. :alien2:

I was not questioning your or anyone's ability to pay for a domain.
But if you would pay twice the sold value for it, there is nothing stopping you from making that offer to the new owner.
That is if you want it for that, as you said. Nothing ventured nothing gained.

But I will say that folks here always say or insinuate a name is worth more than the selling price but do not have a offer in for more or they would have it (as you have a good example to show). A domain is worth what someone is willing to pay the day it sells.
Future value is not today's value, It is a speculation. It may or may not not be wanted as much in the future.:)
Supply and demand have a remarkable grounding effect.;)

Obviously to me, the selling price was adequate in today's terms. I was pointing out that you can't buy what you don't make a offer for. And so the value is set by those that did.

Hi Chris, they contact me directly over email.

Interesting to see that domain buy/appraisal scammers are going after a VR domain specifically.
