Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Cant believe these were available, my target audience for these would be a VR company starting with the initials J/E or H/N. Alternatively, a VR company based in each of these locations, but I doubt they were sell for that reason. Oh well lets see how it goes...

Hello people, (why) do you guys think vr(word).ext are going to be better domains than virtual(word).ext or virtualreality(word).ext?

Which is great, but both your last posts haven't really been "VR" related.

Absolutely serious. This is a VR/Virtual/Virtual Reality thread. I think someone started an Immersive thread if you want post your domains in there. Also guncontroller.com has nothing to do with VR but I will admit its a interesting device.

So you're saying immersive technologies, including a glove, gun and seat has "nothing to do" with VR?

And you're absolutely serious?

I'd like to add that the words "virtual reality" appear 33 times on that wikipedia page....

Are you sure immersive technologies have NOTHING to do with VR????

I'm not saying immersive technologies has nothing to do with VR. I'm saying this is VR thread for domains that include "VR / Virtual / Virtual Reality" domains. Don't take it personally. But if you want to post anyway, go for it.

Were you complaining when other people posted their "immersive" domains here? Not sure if you noticed, but immersive and VR are interchangable terms that are used to describe each other. VR is an "immersive experience" and so on.

And are you saying that you've only posted "VR" keyword domains in this thread? Just making sure you're being fair here....

http://www.yourdictionary.com/virtual-reality (see the bottom)

"Using stereoscopic goggles that provide a completely immersive experience"

Let's keep it positive. @LucidDomains I really like your site design. Could you PM me how to get in touch with your developer? Or did you develop it yourself?

Thank you. Unfortunately those details are classified. :lookaround:

Had a feeling you'd say that :). But I respect your decision not to share your dev info.

I consider 'Immersive' names within the realm of this thread.
Even though I don't like the names very well ;) they fit the virtual reality domains segment.
If you get to picky, you would have to throw out those AR/Holo/MR/360 names.
Plenty of other posts here that have been much worse.
@LucidDomains Don't sweat the small stuff :) It's all good !

Even though one can argue all of the aforementioned categories are actually a subset VR. People have gone to the trouble of creating separate AR/Holo/MR/360/Immersive threads on this forum. I just think we should stick the protocol of the forum and to how this thread was originally started.

That's just my opinion, but each to their own.

VR is an immersive technology and immersive technologies are what create VR. For example VR Headsets are immersive technologies that are the main focus of VR. VR is not JUST headsets, as Wikipedia explains:

"Virtual Reality (VR), which can be referred to as immersive multimedia or computer-simulated life, replicates an environment that simulates physical presence in places in the real world or imagined worlds and lets the user interact in that world. Virtual reality artificially creates sensory experiences, which can include sight, hearing, touch, smell, taste, and more."

Open your mind folks. Don't think within boxes (or silly, made up "protocols" )....I can remember when people called projections on the wall "VR", but some of you guys may not be old enough to remember that :-D

There is a ton of NamePros showcase threads on this forum. People love them and continue to use the format. If you want to mix it up by putting something like holoimmersive360ar.com in this thread, I personally won't like it, but that's just my opinion. I like having square pegs in square holes if you catch my drift. I think the moderators deleted your posts cause they agree too.

If you want to continue to post it, go for it. I'm not the boss.

Anyway I'm going to bed, the weekends lack juicy VR news so we get into fruitless discussions. Night :alien2:

Calm down, we know it. As i see you are new here, sometimes we split topics just to make them more readable actually. If you really wanted to find something about "immersive" keyword, you would be happy to see that we created another forum for this name. Its whole about how easy you can reach what you want to know. This is the biggest niche topic on this forum and we tried to split its load with other related topics about VR to make it more smooth...

It's like sayin that "quad copter" domains don't belong in the drone showcase thread. My immersive posts are still here. Immersive MEANS VR and VR MEANS immersive. You're "not the boss" for a reason and I don't need reminding of that. It's a square peg in a square hole, but you're just being fussy.

And yeah I did see that they deleted guncontroller dot com domain, but for example Delta Six market's it's gun controller as an "immersive" controller that is Oculus Rift compatible. They know what they're talking about. Gun controllers will be immersive vr gear just like gloves and headsets to contribute to the virtual reality experience. So my opinion about my gun controller post hasn't changed even though it was deleted. The moderators are human and are allowed to their own opinions...and that's something I can appreciate :)

@serhatkotan did you mean to quote my post or Winfluence's?

@Winfluence, Well, I didn't flag your immersive post because you're not the first to do. I flagged it now, lets see if a moderator agrees with me or not. Petty I know, but I'm curious.

I think we should settle this in VR. Once the BESTVRGAME comes out, we'll fight to the VDEATH. The VRWINNER will become the boss and the loser will forever be known as the CLOWNVR. Do you accept or are you too chicken?

I think it's been discussed a few times in this thread. In my opinion shorter domains are usually more sought after.
