Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

VRmagazine dot com

I settled at a fair price on this after negotiating with multiple parties. I had interest for the domain at higher figure but buyers did not follow through, still I made a great ROI on this name and leaves me with a good chunk of change to reinvest in other names.

As a domain flipper all that matters to me is ROI, I bought this name and then listed on flippa the next day, a quick flip for me. I have a couple dozen really good names which will do well as time goes on.

yep. good thinking there.

everyhone needs some money along way to reinvest in other things.

all I'm saying is that whoever got vrmagazine for 1k will make huge money on it in few years.

cheers

two regs for me today...

its hard to reg things like software, hardware, education, health, and others.. things that may consitue basis for vr one day.... because all these kwrds are taken.. .so I decided to go more general and generic.. with the one keyword left that essentially coveres it all.. infrastructure

and after some hesitation about Output keyword.. I decided to took it, as it reminds me with not only output in general, but can apply specifically to visual or display output etc.. and anything display or visual in vr is a good thing. I hope these find some rich takers one day for me. happy hunting.

vr infrastructure
vr output

Do you think an .xyz would do well if it's an awesome Vr name??

not all exstensions are created equal.

frm what i read xyz is not the best one of them all.

there are many others for you to consider... io.. co... and the good news is, I THINK all of them may have top vr kleyewords still left!

You would be better off emailing the owner of one oft these decent names and buying one of those nad holding that for a while, you 'll be surprised what kind of bargains you can get, and in the long run, those names will be the ones that sell, hand-regging all the left-over keywords will leave you with huge renewal fees over the next few years and then most will expire anyway

Try focus on quality and not quantity, dont buy more than say 5-10 names in each niche and try get the good keywords or brandable names in each niche

good luck

thanks, but I highly doubt I'd be surprised by how little they may want for their "decent" names.

You will be, I can assure you, if you email enough owners...have you tried? If not, how can you say you'd be surprised? Dont assume all owners have these outrageous ideas on prices, because they dont. Some domainers idea of a good profit is buying a name for $1 at GD and then flipping it for $80 or $150 and that works for a lot of people and they sell 10 times more names than people waiting for a a 10K or 50K sale...that is still a huge ROI, especially if you flip it quickly

I buy nice names almost on a weekly basis and spend between high xx and mid xxx for names, hardly ever more than that, unless its a really high quality (in my eyes that is??)

I recently bought 3 names for low mid xxx after I emailed the buyer, then sold them for mid xx,xxx a few months later, if you look around, there are great bargains out there. I admit I email some owners and get a 500K or even $1 million replies from them, but those are people that will never sell the names. Then on occasion you email someone and get a mid xx reply, then offer them $100 or $200 and see what happens, you really never know until you try. PM me if you want to discuss mate

I am glad I satisfied your dog if I couldn't help you :D

thanks, but I highly doubt I'd be suprised by how little they may want for their "decent" names.

I wish I could or would be... surprised

but I think in this case the suprise factor would be all on you.. for thinking people are dumb enough to sell good stuff for cheap.

I don't call whats now left to handreg or what I've been regging for past 2 months since I came here as leftovers or tablescraps... but I woudl tend to agree that it's slowly but surely headed that way.

my dog, she loves leftovers by the way.. just seeing the words you wrote on the screen gave her saliva all over the place. ;)

I disagree. There are definitely deals to be had;

vryoga.com - 550 USD
vrescorts.com - 310 USD
osvr.com - 104 USD :| wut.
vrexperiences.com - 185 USD :| wut wut.

I don't see myself buying domains over reg. fee though, not until I've sold something. lol.

I don't deny that.

my point however was that there are still deals to be had in handregs too.

for $8. not $100 or $500.

thanks for pointing out the deals though.

Yeah, that's true. It's the funniest thing, I was reading the first page of this thread today and, this post really stuck out to me:

A couple to possibly invest in that I saw though not sure if they're worth buying:

VRBeach.com $119

VR7.com $788 (Frank Schilling has VR8.com available for $17,000!)

Even though most VRkeyword.com's are taken, alot of VR-keyword.com's remain available (hyphen added). Possibly not a bad thing to pick some up as it helps to add space between VR and keyword, plus Europeans are particularly fond of hyphens, I've sold two so far this year to a German and an Italian....

After 148 pages, 98,000 views and, countless registrations, we're still saying the same thing.

"The best ones are gone but, many good ones still available."

lol :P.
