Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

NameSilo
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

I almost receive zero visits for VirtualJourneys.com :(( , I think "VR" is much better than "Virtual"..

Virtual always works as an adjective
VR can function as an adjective or noun, is more versatile
VR is also an acronym for Vacation Rental, a big niche
Virtual has been used a lot longer on the market and may look stale
VR related to Virtual Reality is a more modern term that is taking off and is fresh.
I have always bet for VR, but if I find a quality Virtual and I can buy it, I never hesitate to do so.

BTW, today I received two offers through GD for two names that contain the acronym VR,
$$$ range, keywordVRkeyword.com and VRkeyword.com.

Good hunting.

New here. Lurked for a couple of days, and did some research myself.
Just handregged a 4 letter keyword+VR.com. One of its counterparts is listed at a couple of grand to register on GoDaddy. Don't know how I got this one.

Mark Zuckerberg: We want to get 1 billion people in virtual reality

I saw that today... and I'll be honest, I caught onto this VR Domain thing a little late. But I figured I am just in the right place if the same week, Mark Zuckerberg called for a billion.

This is just to build hype, he didn't even said a date. If he would've said "1 billion people in VR by 2023" or something like that, it would've been something significant...but that phrase is just a non-sense hype building.

Well we will see, but every step is always better than nothing, over hype or not...and the go is for beginning of 2018. If the quality of the device is good enough it could greatly improve the way to show VR content. The problem i always got when i have to show the result to customers is that I always need a phone for the samsung gear, cardboard is very bad quality, daydream is more than limited because they sold only a small amount of this phone and using oculus and htc on desktop/laptop it's just too much for customer. Main part of customer want to show their VR during exhibition, so it could be the perfect hardware..let's see :)

While on vacation here on the outer banks, I saw a van with VRobx in king. I thought how cool is that and had visions of a virtual tour of NC’s outer banks! When I loaded the domain it takes me to Village Realty Outer Banks website. They most likely snared a great VR domain before VR was even a reality.

Anyone watch the Electric Dreams episode last night?

For those that know what it's about, Electric Dreams is a new TV show by Channel 4 (UK), similar to Black Mirror and a new story/actors every week.

Last nights episode was called 'Real Life' staring Terrence Howard and Anna Paquin and was about Virtual Reality - I'm not sure when it's going to be showed in America, but i think Amazon have got the rights to it over there, was a good watch anyway (y)

Good to see Virtual Reality tv shows/movies being made more often now, noticed a Virtual Reality movie just got put on Netflix (UK) yesterday called 'OtherLife'

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt4693358/

Not watched it yet, but might give it a try tonight.

VRhelmets.com at GoDaddy auction right now. Taking a huge risk with a no reserve auction.

Hope it pays off.

Just been search around for some keywords i have in .com and spotted some new companies that i never saw a couple months ago

Can only be good news, never struggled getting offers for that domain though, it’s on page1 of GoDaddy's most popular VR domains in terms of offers received.

What I’ve struggled with is getting offers on hangregs and its renewal time end of this month so made my mind up, majority of those are getting dropped, come to the conclusion even good VR domains are difficult to shift after a good name of mine yesterday failed to even receive a bid in auction for mid-xxx, so average to decent names I’m just not going to waste time with anymore.

Going to keep about 20, but the $2000 or so i’ve spent on handregs in the last 2 years I’m just going to put down to experience and hope the 20 or so i’ll be keeping make the difference up in sales what i spent there eventually.

Hope everyone else is doing well (y)
