Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

I am keeping round a whole bunch of my longtails VR .com...
let's just say....the types of keywords that if I had them in the shorter vr+kw.com version, I'd be owning one of the nicer and more valuable VR folios around I get a lot of offers on my long tails but they are low ...in the XX to low XXX Ranges for now.. which is fine, cause it'd be not normal to get more on them at this stage. and I'd be worried then.

I expect great future in years to come for these exact match doamins for the VR abbreviation. soem companies/people/endusers may even prefer them to shorter VR versions for same keyword. I'd not be suprised to see such cases happen. but less common imo. otherwise, longtails will remain just "some fraction % value" of its shorter VR equivalent. imo. so VRads.com more valuable than VirtualRealityAds.com etc etc..

I only sold a couple so far.. highest was $400.. but there is good few public sales already... and some private ones hitting up to 2k.. for ones I know.. and I don't know them all.

I like most of yours... would maybe drop shoppingapp..and ligthfield..

It actually seems like the VR sales are picking up over the last year. I am sure that the exposure of the actual hardware within commercials/media is helping those sales left and right. Definitely still very curious about the European market in regards to Virtual reality because I am seeing more and more news/demos from over there as well. Actually got the approval that VirtuelleRealitaet.CH (German for Virtual Reality) will be listed at the Domaining Europe auction so I guess we will see if there is any interest
