Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

Any VR .ca extensions selling latley?

VRhut.ca
VRnetwork.ca
VRmall.ca
VRproperty.ca

VR Global Tour.com
Virtual X Hub.com
VR Whale tours.com
VR whale watching.com
Ontario VR.com

I did some outbound for ⓟⓛⓐⓨⓋⓇ.ⓒⓐ in spring (to an upcoming VR arcade), and I got 2 responses from the same company: One said "$11k and we have a deal.", the other said "No, thank you.".

Obviously there was some internal conflict, and I wasn't able to
make the sale... -__-''

I have high hopes for .ca though. :) It could take a while, but I think we'll see some good sales. I've already seen a handful of VR companies using .ca, and it's not uncommon for the .com owner to secure the .ca for brand protection & Canadian appeal.

*fingers crossed*

Good Choice.

So, I imagine the end user would be a job site dedicated to VR employment opportunities?
or some other business?

Well, first of I have alot of VR domains with not that good keywords (yet) because I have failed to check Adwords etc. and also because my main focus have been .com I think I have missed alot of .NET and instead regged some crappy name in .com. (Beginners mistake)
So today I just searched for a couple of keywords and that one popped up.

But to answer your question, yes probably something like that! :) Otherwise I have a lot of Work and VR-related domains (Nothing special but incase I can't sell it)

Congrats, bought the .com 2014. :)

Nice one! Thats is a whole lot better :)

Off topic: I try to see if someone else owned the .net before me and when it expired. But I can't find anything else than on Whois.domaintools.
I have tried Domainhistory.net, Hosterstats, web.archive.org

BrainsVR .com and TopGradeVR .com were available some weeks ago, so i handreged them.

I believe VR is gonna be use a lot in therapy that is why i took VRtherapyplus .com and Vrtherapypro .com namebio shows Vtherapy sale in 2015 for $1500

I have been wondering if some of you own VRNNN or NNNVR domains in .com; it look like some chinese VR site have been using this pattern for their websites.

I am not yet sure if I should rejoice over these my VR names in .Stream extension nevertheless I got them for 0.60 each I believe it is a good buy already!

VRAR .Stream / VR-AR .Stream
VRlive .Stream / VR-live .Stream
VReality .Stream
Vreal .Stream
VRxxx .Stream / VRxxx .Rocks
WearVR .Stream
LiveVR .Stream

All I know is that "VR streaming" have been in action these days.
As for now, that is it for me in VR

I try and pickup a few non .com extensions but only on promos. like $1 net or free .ca .. or even lately couple of .gdn

of those, .net remains my favorite.. cause its just generally the strongest extesion after .com

however, even when I go with .net I try to get things that make sense.. cause in the end, net means mostly network.. and its quite easy to associate some VR keywords with the idea of "network" or networking.. in similar way in which one can nicely associate some kw with .club exxension which you like I know.

thus.. some of my favorites nets are:

VR wireless
VR travels
VR timetravel
VR private
VR technologies
VR payment
VR holo
VR gamez
VR-gamers
VRental
VRbiz
VirtualVegas
VirtualStream

and my all time favorite hack which is receving quite few inquiries:

VR inter.net

but again, I'd not buy these (minus few exceptions) full reg price.. but sometimes domainers get lucky and have 1$ promos for reg or even tranasfer ;)

I think for a .ca that 11k is an alright price, you need to find the marketing manager?

Who said GoVR sold for 25,001?
GoVR.com did not sell the bid reached $10,000 on NameJet and the reserve price was between $25,001 and $50,000. Right now it is on Flippa sitting at $11,000, but the reserve is not met.

I think it's his English. I think he implied that the reserve price was not met.

Unless I'm mistaken, can anyone confirm?
The reserve was not met it was between 25-50K and the bidding reached 10K.

Of course, nobody wanna bid to reach $25,001 for 4L.com like GOVR.com
Soon they will. The trend is only rising, huge corporations are investing billions. This is a meaningful LLLL .com in a rising revolutionary market. Value will only increase.

I agree, I was good with the $11k. I even initiated Escrow. But, alas, they were a no go.

It was a pretty small operation. So, I'm guessing one of the respondents must've been the owner? I really doubt they had marketing/brand manager of any kind.

Anyhow, I like the name. I'm happy to keep holding. :)

Please wait and see what it is going on with that reserve price :)

How long does everybody think it will take before the VR market matures? Its hard to say, because the future is uncertain.

yes :) This should boost the market even more :)

Google's DayDream will hire major YouTube stars for promotion

To attract a widespread audience, what is better than a Viral video or news. And for anything to go viral, which platform is better than YouTube itself. So turns out that Google is hiring YouTube tsars to promote its new Daydream VR service. YouTube has let a lot of people to fame in the last few years and people have followed them and loved them as much as any other celebrity actors.

It depends but lots of forecasts are estimating 3 - 5 years for the tech to go mainstream.

As domainers though I would imagine we would be looking probably another year or two for more consistent end user offers.

Some end users are going to wan't to get into the VR game early enough to be in the thick of the mix.

Some exciting releases happening soon enough that will ease a little confidence into the market hopefully.
