Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
The value of the latter will depend rather on whether the Playstation VR will be able to connect to PCs, which is not certain. http://www.polygon.com/2016/3/28/11317638/playstation-vr-pc-compatible
Sinful stuff for sure wont be playable on it otherwise.

Yeah I basically took a punt on this one. With the massive amount of money the p*rn industry could potentially make from the millions of console VR owners, I'd imagine they'll have a good go at finding a way to access the market. Where there's a will, there's a way, even if it's through 3rd party software.

I have to agree about the part relating to non-gaming applications, hardware, gaming and prawn will be the driving force of VR until headsets are affordable and better quality.

I am not sure how Sony or anyone else will be able to discriminate on what content is actually in a
360/180/3D/VR video. A video stream is a video stream. Even if streamed from your HD or SD card.
They can only negotiate what is launched or seen while in their software platform and nobody in their right mind is going to keep you locked into that. But I'm sure they will keep it locked enough in THEIR PLATFORM to say it's safe for kids even though I know that will never be true. Just won't be as easy.
It's only to address parental concerns that Sony does nothing to assist that.

Check out these trends and search volume at Google and partners (Google Adwords Keyword Tool) And in the graph you can see its growing fast, the last dip is only partial data of August so it will be actually higher (Google.com/trends). The value of VR domains will only increase rapidly.

VR keyword search has actually pretty much stagnated since April. I guess it will pick up again strongly in the lead up to the Playstation VR release in October, as well as the European release of the Oculus, and then of course, the run up to Black Friday and Christmas.

I don't know if the 'partial data' is a reason for the August fall. It's not the total traffic for the month being shown it's the average by day. It could dip further.

The search volume on July 29th 2016 for the keyword "VR" was 1,830,000 /month on Google and partners. Today it is 2,240,000 times/month! Also the trend dip in August is due to partial data I guess.

Congrats @nimtree
If keyword is very good (SMART), hyphens weigh less

Yeah. It's been totally dead on my side the last few months. I think the Google Daydream launch will be epic though. And if Apple does VR for the iphone 7 things will get crazy as every move they make is front page news.

Good Choice.

So, I imagine the end user would be a job site dedicated to VR employment opportunities?
or some other business?

Leap Motion’s Interaction Engine Beta Can Make Virtual Hands More Useful

Controller-free hand-tracking company Leap Motion is preparing for the day we ditch our position-tracked controllers with its new Interaction Engine, which is launching as an Early Access Beta today.

This promising new concept aims to refine interaction with hand-tracked controls and is now available as a Unity module. Leap announced the launch in a new blog post that goes into detail about what the Interaction Engine means for hand-tracked controls.

The new tools essentially make something of a compromise in terms of believeability of interactions in favor of the ease of actually performing them. With previous iterations of Leap controls, for example, you might struggle with the physical action of holding a virtual object, as anything but a precise and definitive movement might cause the item in question to squeeze out of your grip.
