I won't go into details too much but I had to educate Godaddy support yesterday about what a domain push is.

It's insane when you think of it.

Godaddy, makes even the push process cumbersome...

True. I was without words when they literally asked me what a push is and if that's the same as a transfer.

I pointed them to their own FAQs and gave up... Luckily they do seem to hire some people with brains and understanding of the English language as today someone else fixed it.

    I'm done with them.

If this collects all the rants and gripes in one place, thereby lightening up other threads, it is brilliant @Internet.Domains.

I try not to get too emotional, but I hate that there are not limits set on renewal cost increases in most TLDs.

Yes, that is exactly the intention. Will it work? I don't know, but like life in general, I remain optimistic.

I completely agree. It is one of the unknown variables that can literally decrease a domain's value overnight.

I mostly kick myself. For not having done that, for not doing this.. bla bla bla.. Ouch! Nice topic. When it comes to domaining, I have myself to blame 99% of the time.

I hate it when no one places even a single bid on my domains auctions, after I thought it was a cool name...and Flippa, really dont like Flippa.

Domainers afraid to appraise worthless names in case they get a dislike. Domainers that sugar coat weak appraisals enforcing false beliefs.

There are reg fee dot net adult domains offered for thousands that you wont sell for $5 and you don't know because your wanting thousands.

Why do domainers think they can even register a good adult name because I have only seen a few of any value in years for sale it is like they forget everything they know.

I hate that Michael Cyger sold DomainSherpa and that his replacement makes it almost unwatchable. I miss you Mike!

Responsibility comes mostly after self-blaming and identifying own mistakes while blaming others makes one find excuses and ignore own shortcomings and mistakes.

Ok, I am not angry. Because I want to make money, the rest is the collection, even if there is no INB, I hope that I can leave him to my children.

Just off the top of my head:

    #1 - The fact there aren't 30 hours in a day

#2 - ICANN madness and some of the most dumbfounding decisions ever!

#3 - People who use my daily lists but don't use the affiliate links or even bother to click thanks/like.

#4 - Auction bots that click faster than me.

#5 - Auctions wins that are clawed back

#6 - Lack of a good auction platform.

#7 - People who refuse to listen to logic at NamePros and continue to post misinformation harmful to new domainers.

#8 - The fact my computer (actually a good one) can't handle my complex excel masterpieces!
    #8a - Microsoft!

#9 - Platform bugs that are eternal.

#10 - People who place any importance on automated valuations on single domains (and I'm actually a happy client of Estibot .. lol)

.. and the list goes on ... lol ..

FYI .. @Michael Cyger didn't actually sell DomainSherpa .. he actually ended it to move on to other challenges (including DNAcademy) .. and then MediaOptions came in and bought it to keep it alive a few months after Mike closed it. Mike's a domain baller now .. small portfolio of top notch high-5 and 6 figure domains (with the exception of his unicorn .. on which he is probably riding off into the sunset .. lol)!

Pretty great list @Ategy.com - your posts are always well thought out!

For a few things mentioned in this entire thread, we should not underestimate our power individually or collectively. I think many share the auction frustrations and the domain auction system is ripe for either disruption by a new player or major improvements by existing players.

I really like your taking ownership attitude @BrandsOpen! We should all take that to heart.

I had an issue with GoDaddy support around a domain transfer for a .uk domain. Was told that my billing details were wrong 10 times over even though I insisted they were correct and even mentioned they had charged me on that same card for something else. After speaking to 2 other people it seems it was a bug on their end and the payment has gone through.

Then, regarding the push itself (.uk works by changing the tag which is a sort of a push from registrar to registrar) I was told the sending registrar cancelled and to contact them, even though whois showed GoDaddy. Sending registrar said GoDaddy was talking nonsense. Went back to GoDaddy, this time spoke to a chap from the US and he told me right away it was another bug and the domain was now in my account.

Terrible service from their offshore call centers who annoyingly don't listen to what you are telling them. Atleast that is my experience so far and hope that it was just a coincidence that both operators were offshore - may be the training needs to be improved. Also, what is with all of these bugs!

How many times did I buy this domain in the first 6 months!

(And I hate my new phone as well.)
