advice Video.Tips $249 renewal fee?

I just wanted to hear your opinions, is this domain worth holding and paying $249 for 10 years or until it sells? or build it out?

Estibot shows a value of @$3200

I am relatively new and getting started, this is the highest renewal fee I have encountered. I know it's all in perspective and use. Just wondering what you might value this name at? when i type video tips into google i get 936,000,000 results.

Any input would be great.

If by "build it out" you mean create a money earning site that takes in more than $249 a year it might be worth it. Otherwise, no.

Competition from .video, .tv, .media and also on .com (using other keywords) puts this a fairly long way down the list of names anyone would be interested in.

Renewing this? It's like calling on the flop, calling on the river when the other guy (registry) is holding the nuts.

Imho it's not worth it unless you have a plan with it.

I wont trust estibot either, I mean it is good for reference point on some certain domains, but other than that, it's good for entertainment.

thanx for the input I really appreciate it, I'm not putting all my faith in Estibot I use it as a guide, I priced this domain higher, and I liked Video.Tips because the exact term spans the dot, and it's 3 letters shorter than the .com, .tv .media .video are all great names but don't fit this "niche" tips.video is back wards to me, videotips.tv is good as it describes the ( television for video tips type site) but it is 2 more added letters?.

I am just outlining why i picked this domain up (cheap - probably because someone did not want to pay reg fee when i came up again lol) the renewal is coming up in a few days so i need to make a decision shit or get off the pot so to say.

Google Keyword Planner gives 590 searches monthly for the phrase "video tips"

A professional videographer who makes a living shooting videos might find a name like this useful if it were not for the steep renewal. An investor with no business plan should not be paying $249 annually in renewals on a name like this.

This name should have never been registered. My advice - do not renew it. You can invest that money in expiring domain auctions at Godaddy or Namejet and have something worth far more.
