I have been wanting to get into vlogging lately. It will explode at the very end of this year. Make no mistake about it. And something I have noticed about this pioneering stage is that a STRONG portion of vloggers use .TV. I personally plan on buying a boatload of [keyword]blog.tv and [keyword]vlog.tv soon. What do you guys think? I haven't really messed around with .tv too much. The only interaction I have had with .tv (buying/selling) was making the decision not to reg fog.tv :D, bad call nonetheless.

I would buy a great unique domain not Keywordvlog.tv. Look at branding none of the top video blogs call themselves blog or vlog. Get a great domain, make up your own short domain and vlog

www.wallstrip.com a video blog that got bought for $4 million.

www.beet.tv a great video blog

Well, not entirely true, as Searching points out, a new Israeli start up attracting attention from VC capital is BLOGTV.COM.

Also , of course any nicely branded name can make it big time, but it sells on its business model, not its non generic name.

If BLOG.COM was just a parked page, I am sure it would fetch close to a million.......

No keywordBlog.tv or keywordvlog.tv is even in the same stratosphere with blog.com IMO Million light years away. I am sorry but I think owning 100 Keywordvlog.tv will prove to be a money losing experience. Again IMO

No Eq,

I am referring only to names like VLOGGERTV.COM, VLOGGINGTV.COM - NOTHING ELSE ADDED TO THE BEGINNING OF THE WORD....and such names would caterr to blogging tools and blogging communities.....

Other blogs talk about particular industries and topics...I am not referrring to such entities

I have developed two of my .TVs into vlogs. I think it's fine as the domains are .TV and have videos posted on them.

There are several really good vlog names still available!! You just gotta be a bit creative. It is definitely one for the future. I had some .tv blog terms and they sold easily although not for huge amounts.

Yeah, vlogging will def take off IMO. Could be a nice niche.

This is just my opinion.........

The term vlog probably won't take off. It is more likely that Blog will still be the dominant term with video logs to just start to be expected.

In it's own way, video blogging has been around as long as youtube allowed embedding of their videos. The only new thing now is how people will post thier videos up.

The reason I say this is because people tend to like nice catch phrase names. Blog is somewhat natural to say, while Vlog doesn't roll off the tongue the same way.

If anything, I would guess that an entirely new term other then either vlog or blog is most likely to happen.

So now is your chance, coin a new term in the tv section.

My vote is for CRazy Advanced Posting.
