TV actor killed on Mexico City highway/filming without permit
MEXICO CITY Mexico City police say a television actor and male dancer has died in a traffic accident.
Authorities also say Edgar Ponce was violating laws by driving his motorcycle on a highway and filming without a permit during yesterday's accident.
Ponce, who's appeared on T-V soap operas and in the male dance troupe "For Women Only," died after a car hit his motorcycle.
The crash happened on a highway where trucks, motorcycles and delivery vehicles are required to use side lanes.
Police say the driver of the car did not appear intoxicated, but has been accused of involuntary homicide, which is similar to manslaughter. He's free on 27-thousand dollars bail.
Ponce had appeared in soap operas such as "Sonadoras", "Salome," and "Amigas y Rivales."

-- Graphic videotapes that aired today on some Mexican T-V stations showed the car hitting Ponce, tossing him and his motorcycle into the air.
