Very interesting dealing with idotz.net...

I went to idotz.net to search for a particular .sc domain today. I had previously searched for the same domain yesterday evening and it was available. My intention was to register it today; however, after searching for it this morning the status came back as unavailable. When I tried to look at the whois info there was none. No matter what I did, I could not register that particular domain name.

So, I went over to Moniker, searched for the same domain name, and it came back as available. I immediately regged it and now have it safely in my account.

Not sure what the deal is with idotz.net but I am suspicious why the domain that was available yesterday evening was not this morning. Any ideas what may have happened? Is this an innocent glitch or is idotz.net engaging in some sort of nefacrious behavior?

I've used Idotz.net for about 2 dozen names, mostly .tv, and have never had a problem. There were a few domains that I searched and didn't reg immediately. When I checked back several days or weeks later, they were still available. Just my experience.

Your experience definitely sounds strange. Maybe a glitch.

I wouldn't be surprised if they were gonna reg it themselves.

Not the first whois service reported to be -- what's the word.....not quite stealing, let's just say using unethical business practices -- for their own monetary gain, and I doubt they'll be the last.

it happened to my name at godaddy.com

for once i was at domainsite i checked it's avail. tvgl.com and i decided to register it at domainsite but it said payment cannot be completed and blah blah ... i checked godaddy whois and it said its registered now ... and i was like i lost it ... and then after an hour it was back avail on domainsite and i got it
