Hi all,

Ok very early in my development of Plooka - but would love some feedback. Have the page hosted here at the moment. None of the buttons work yet, but just interested in thoughts and feel of the general direction I am going in, and if I am missing anything obvious.

Cheers

The graphic on the rightmost side of the header is misaligned in firefox. Also that picture of the guy on the snow overlaps the pictures at the bottom (don't know if that's intentional). :D

hire a flash designer for the graphic on middle since it loads very slow.

Add some padding to your text blocks. will look better. and maybe an Arial-type font will fit in better too.

menu bar. do you need the background images? maybe you could try a simple background color that fits with the header image.
good luck

The site also seems to be aligned the right in firefox so you have a horizontal scroll.

Thanks guys - usually put my sites together with tables as seems to work better. This is my first one using layers for ages - think I may be tempted to revert back.

Anyway looks like a need to fire up firefox and have a look at it with that.

Don't revert back to tables, it's old technology.

Table's were never meant for design, they just worked. That's what we have css for now.

Yup. Tableless layout seems hard are first but the only reason for that is because we all got used to using tables for the layout. But once you get a hang of Divs and CSS, you'll find that it's actually a lot easier to use, especially if you want to do minor modifications with your layout.
