Very Early Stages - Early views, opinions and tests please.

Hey! I am currently working on a little project called Crafty Bazaar. It is still in early stages but registration, login, account activation and basic listing creations are complete. This site has been coded completely from scratch by me and I would like early opinions regarding the design and the general functionality of the website.

You must have spent hours on coding something that ends up looking like a wordpress layout. Your header/logo section is unusable when it comes to branding, there are no images associated with your topics,... in short: Use the equal amount of time that you spent coding and ask yourself what your potential client/user would like to see. "See" being the keyterm here. Functionality is a must, intuitive handling of eye candy is your next stage. It's not all bad, on the contrary, it's a good start, just needs to be taken from coding to the "next level" now. :tu:

Thanks a lot. To be honest im not much of a designer but im really short of funds to hire one lately so instead I thought id have a go myself. Will need someone to create a logo for me though since I am pretty useless at graphical art. But yeah, thanks for the tips.
