I find it very annoying that people would register names at sedo that they do not own! I have seen this 2 times already. once with a .cc name and now with .name and when you check with a registrar the name is available for registering. :(

someone has put messageboard.name in sedo when I went to check with domainsite.com it was available. SO I REGGED IT! :hehe:

I, confess, that I have names that are still listed at Sedo that I have sold or let drop and, no longer, own. D~mn! That reminds me. I 've gotta get over there and do some house cleaning. There goes the afternoon.

sometimes domainers will forget to delete a name listed with sedo after they have let the name drop. It is unlikely a name will be listed as owned if not regged first as sedo will check the name whois before accepting the listing.

I had it happen too with lvnv.us. I owned it and someone else had it for sale! Well, it's still for sale :talk:

I have a few names still listed by other people on Sedo or Afternic, mostly ones I've bought but there's a few "new" reg's amongst them.

Had a few removed by emailing Sedo or Afternic but most I've just left.

Well, I've made it through half of my listings and have weeded out about 40, so far.
I set such a bad example! I focus on the front end so much, that I neglect my backend, post-sales duties and responsibilities. I have never rec'd notice from Sedo- they grey out the sales that are through them. I have twice received letters, (overly, stern, IMHO), from Afternic. In one case, w/ a drop, a guy's email was something like: "Too bad. You lost it. Now, (not so kindly) remove your listing because the name is mine." I emailed him back w/: "Lost it? I didn't lose anything. I let a bad name drop and you picked it up and registered it. Listing removed."

Yes, many names have been listed and dropped/registered. I do not think sedo does cleansing of their systems.

I always remove my name from SEDO after I sell it so that doesn't happen lol

I always do the opposite because of the panic attacks that come on every time I think about jumping out of the right side of my brain into the left side. I find the transition to be quite uncomfortable, although, the pre-move apprehension is worse than actually operating on the left side, once I can coax myself to move over there.
Writing and conversation seem to be the only activities where I can move, fluidly, back and forth.
