In its latest report on the domain name industry (http://www.verisign.com/static/039111.pdf), VeriSign finds that 12% of all the .coms and .nets are without websites and adds that another 26% are single page sites, which they conclude are parked pages.

Taken together, that would suggest that almost 40% of all active domain registrations are held by individuals/organizations that are "investing" rather than developing.

Is that a fair conclusion to draw and, if so, what does it say about any speculative fever in our marketplace?

It says we should move our ass more to capitalize on the potential we speculate to be present. If we don't type-in's will decrease so much we don't have a choice but to develop.

Unfortunately so true ;(

PPC will drastically decrease in the next future if you got no "quality traffic".
This will enforce development ..... in whatever style ;)
Only parking wont be not enough :td:
