Vbulletin.com Upgrade Request Required! V3.5.0

Gday from Australia,

I am requesting someone to help me upgrade my forum www.BeautUtes.com to the latest Vbulletin Version of 3.5.0 it is currently working off version 3.0.3

The site has a few hacks that I am aware of
Flag Hack
Game Hacks
SEO Hack
Adsense
and others

It also has vbadvanced.com portal and links directory installed.

So if possible can someone upgrade my site without losing these hacks?

I am not too fussed if I have to lose some of the hacks, I spose I can always reinstall the latest hacks.

But I would not like to lose my vbadvance.com portal and links directory.

Is it possible for this to work?

Can someone out there please help me out with this?

I just recieved this email from vbulletin.com support about upgrade!

You will lose all hacks if you upgrade, they will need to be reapplied aftewards. Make sure you remove all database hacks as this could mess up the upgrade if there are non standard fields in the vB tables.

chances are most hacks will either need to be re-applied, or will no longer work with the upgraded version. You could really do with going to the source of those hacks and asking if they are compatible.

On the plus side, there are a LOT more hacks available for the new version which are very sweet :D

I Know that vbadvanced released a new version for 3.5..so thats possible..dont know about the other hacks

If you wish to keep those hacks, check to see if they have been ported to VB3.5 even before you start thinking about upgrading. Most hacks would not have updated to the latest version since VBulletin 3.5 was just released this month.

Why not try a slow incremental upgrade from 3.0.3 to 3.0.9 before you even upgrade to 3.5? That way you may still keep your hacks and work out where you'd need to change for 3.5

All hacks will need to be re installed after upgrade, as you have to upload the files again, then run the install script.
