Value of Domain Names Ending in R without E such as Hackr.com

I was wondering about the value of domain names where the name/keyword normally has er in the end, but instead you get rid of the e and just put r instead. Examples would be Hackr.com or Podr.com. Would love to hear everyone's opinions on this.

Anybody have any of these types of domain names they'd be willing to share?

I don't have any yet, but am definately looking.

I don't own anything becuase I had entered Flicker.com many times before going to the real name Flickr.com..
But I think it is called brandability (whatever that meanss...)

Yup those can mainly be used as brandable domains. Nevertheless domains like hackr.com can do well but will not get much type in and fail the phone test. Brandability is key...

Thanks for your good insights. I definitely agree that brandability is key. So I would definitely have to want to develop them should I decide to buy some more.

And bare in mind that those domain names will not improve your SEO in any case.
