Hi All,

We all know that domains are like wines. The more the age, the better the value.

But i want to take opinion from you all regarding the domains which were regged 2 decades back and then dropped twice & thrice and then again regged recently.

For example A domain was regged in 2000 and then dropped in between twice after it was again registered in 2019.

>Does it really effect the value of the domain in 2019 after it gets regged again.
> if yes, then why

Thanks

Hi

your statement is not true for all wines or for all domains

and no, it doesn't affect value,

depending on actual domain name, any value placed on it, would be an assumption made by the potential re-registrant.

just because it was originally registered in 2000, doesn't give it any inherent or intrinsic value.

imo...

So can this domain be called a aged domain since it was first regged in 2000 but again regged in 2019.

If you are saying it will not affect the value, means will it have a tag value of a aged domain even though it was dropped in between for couple times before it was regged again?

No, it is not an aged domain

forget the notion of aged domains having value, just because they were consistently registered over a given period of time.

there are plenty of old names that do not sell, which just get renewed year after year

each domain has to be evaluated based on it's own merits.

imo...
