.tv Value and growth of .tv domain names

Okay, what do you guys think about the growth and value of .tv domain names? It seems that .tv domain names are growing but I would like to hear some other people's opinions. Do you think it's growing and what do you think of it's current and possibly future value in comparison to other top level domains?

The TV channels will be shortly widely available on your computer and on your mobile. With the Internet you have access to all the online channels from every country, from every location around the world (like the online radios). There will be new players willing to integrate this market and they will need to buy good and brandable names... then the .tv extension is the best choice for them.

That's a good point, I never thought of that I guess it's pretty likely than the value of them will be going up.

So is the entire .tv "industry" based solely on speculation that online tv stations will show interest in .tv names over anything other extensions, sometime in the future?

Three points:

1. It is not speculation, it is happening right now.
2. Not over other extentions, the fact, most of the names in other extentions are long gone and most of them can be found in sea of parking.
3. If you follow some threads in dottv subforum, you will see news updates where many existing channels are using .tv

Generally, I'm bearish on the viability of the raw domain name extension, IMHO. :blink:
However, I'm HiP to the new and advancing technologies and means by which they may be integrated with mobile devices, cable and - yes - television (though the ".TV" is actually named for the teeny isle of Tuvalu, and not technically "Television", of course). :gl:
That being said ... I'd advise development of the extensioned domain names, companionating, if possible, these domains with the respective "****TV.com's" counterparts, and, as always, not putting all your domain name investments into any one extension bag (also, try to avoid hype whereever and whenever obvious, IMHO).

I agree always get the ****TV.com and maybe even the .us or .co.uk or wherever your home country maybe.

Absolutely avoid hype even though I am a fan of .tv I have never told anyone to buy a .tv and I have said don't buy too many this is a development ext not a domainer ext ension if the only thing you like about the name is how it sounds pass. IMO
