101 is good for blogs / tutorials / how to kind of websites.

247 is good for exchange / trade / market / services etc.,

Its an academic label... e.g. Economics 101 is actually the first module / course an economics student studies.

Same with Psychology 101, and every other subject.

The first course on a subject on a university degree is 101.

Also, it has to end in 101 to make sense...
