It appears the domain industry has been starting to take notice of the .us namespace over the past year, read DnJournal.com .us growth and Namepros with even greater expectations for the year to come.

So I thought it would be a good idea to ask everyone to show us your .us domain names. You can post your favorites or your entire portfolio.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Here is another thing Americans can celebrate July 4th (well those who are domain nuts anyhow!) - the continuing growth of the first ccTLD on the Internet, .US! Registrations in America's official country code domain rose 9.1% in the past year: https://www.adn.us/news-views/2022/0701.htm

You ain't seen nothing yet. Sometime late tonight or early tomorrow morning I will be posting a list of more than 1,000 stellar .us only websites (no mirrored .coms) from just about every walk of life (absolutely no porn).

.us is a great extension. It should have taken off long ago, but now it grows slowly but steadily.

Bad news for COM sales!
.com represents old world order, so obviously it was going to lose market share more and more to other extensions..bias is what makes domainers see and accept that.

I can foresee that .com will be used more by serious companies, who want to target their products and services globally, but US citizens will use .us for more personal/local matters, this will make .com less in demand, because most .com sales comes from US buyers.
However only time will tell what will be the outcome.

The next time people inquire about buying your .us domain(s), give them a thousand reasons to buy. Send them my list of 1,000+ .us only websites that are stellar, to say the least.

I typed in 1,031 actual domain names in both .us and .com to see if they had websites. I compared and contrasted their logos, content, phone numbers, and addresses. I also did the same research using archive.org.

None of the .us sites mirrored a .com site. Many of the .com sites had no content and/or their domains were for sale. Also, none of the .com domains forwarded to the .us sites. None. So, to the best of my knowledge, these 1,031 .us domains are .us-only websites.

The list is available in my Country code top-level domain (ccTLD) post.

I do not recommend that you alphabetize this list for your buyer. You want the person to see that the .us is widely-accepted and being used by everyone in all walks of life. This is real diversity at work.

Try bouncing around the list first. You will be amazed, entertained, wowed, and motivated by what a .us site can become. Your buyer(s) should think and feel the same thing, and be motivated to buy from you, and quite possibly at a higher price.

One word of advice, though. Let the buyer know beforehand when you are going to reply in detail to their domain inquiry. After you send your email, ask them if they got it. If not, just tell them to check their spam folder because sometimes emails can end up there. Everyone should know this. Apparently, the more links you have in an email, the more likely spam filters will flag it as spam.

Please do not repost the list here.

One more thing. Just show your buyer brent.us to start. I think that it is the best one.

Update your list (post), please. PatriotPost.us was never supposed to be included in the 1,000+ .us-only list. The domain forwards from a .com. I had been reading PatriotPost at the time when I transferred a new list of .us-only sites to my post that day and it must have hitched a ride. To make up for this error, I just added 16 more .us-only sites to my list. They're really good ones, too.

Lawyer.us auction, round 2? I wonder if they offered the domain to the bidders in reverse succession who were outbid.

Bought Cornhole…
Growing up in New England, then living in the Western US the only time I heard that term was on Beavis & Butthead....then when I came to the Midwest I realized it is a really popular game.

Solid domain.

Nice, how do you get your .us sales?

Do you list them on Afternic/GoDaddy with a Buy Now price?

Or is it a "Make an offer" situation and then you negotiate?

And do you use the Afternic ns5/ns6 landers?

I have some .us domains, but I don't think I've ever had any sales over $1k for them. But I also haven't listed them anywhere.

Most are listed on Afternic / Dan with a BIN.

Many I bought in recent years might not be priced, mainly because I am lazy.

When it comes to pricing in general -

I try to price most secondary extensions and limited upside .COM like GEO domains.

The higher upside .COM are unpriced and I really only make sales via negotiation.

The owners of the dot com version sure think that it is a good keyword. Way to go.

Update your list if you have it. Lend.us is forwarding to crosscountrymortgage.com, so you should remove it. My list is currently is at 1,162 .us websites.

FYI, commune.us is now a live site. It sold for $8,000 about two weeks ago.
