It appears the domain industry has been starting to take notice of the .us namespace over the past year, read DnJournal.com .us growth and Namepros with even greater expectations for the year to come.

So I thought it would be a good idea to ask everyone to show us your .us domain names. You can post your favorites or your entire portfolio.

Congratulations on the sale, weโ€™re these inbound or outbound? If inbound which platform?

I generally don't do outbound sales. They were both via Afternic.
I also sold another 4 letter one that I closed via Dan.com.

I really think .us will create some domain kings and queens of the future.

Agreed. Even as the second cctld of the USA, with .com being the first one ;), .us should be doing much better and all it needs is a little presentation and marketing.

People go nuts of Columbia or some island extensions, while .us provides businesses with something those cannot provide: trust and memorability. People here in the USA are conditioned to remember .us extension as lots of government organizations, small businesses etc. are on .US. They also don't experience much scam with .us, as it requires residency.

Zoom.us might be doing the greatest service though, by using .us and even forwarding .com to it.

Couldnt agree more. I know some investors have waited and waited, then sold...but I really believe long term, .us holds huge promise. Particularly for quality dictionary words.

Few months back I bought a group of 10 or 15 .us for $100. Put them on Afternic and one sold right away for 500 or 800 bucks. I think .us looks bright. GD might even help with consumers.

GD might help hugely, might hamper it. With multibillion dollar company, you don't really know the plan with the acquisition until later. It could be to grow, to benefit themselves in other areas, or just using it as a cash cow without any incentive to change.

How's this for a 2 word .us ?

E/x/o/t/i/c/C/a/r/s .US

Just the rental business alone in the "US" is huge...

Plenty of endusers big and small

recent GD CL score :)

Thank You

I did some diggin before making the purchase just to be sure given it is a 2 word cc

NameDroppers listed 589 names ending with this name

Countless Car Compaines Marketing I see all the time

then I notice the Largest Rental Company- Enterprise - has its own Sub Domain Section strictly for the said 2-words
https://exoticcars.enterprise.com/en/home.html

huge Outbound potential on this one though letting them come forward is still a stronger position. which is why I think I'll just do soft ads on LinkedIN so they become "aware" it's available :)
