It appears the domain industry has been starting to take notice of the .us namespace over the past year, read DnJournal.com .us growth and Namepros with even greater expectations for the year to come.

So I thought it would be a good idea to ask everyone to show us your .us domain names. You can post your favorites or your entire portfolio.

I think it's a great one. I have quite a few .us that I'm hoping will appreciate. The killer with .us is the bait and switch low initial reg and the high rereg, with scarce coupon code deals.

two of my favs:
HASIDIC.US
501C.US

Try looking beyond Godaddy?! Or sign up for the DDC.

You have to remember to move all your .us out of Godaddy at renewal time to more hospitable shores. Dynadot is reasonable.

I just renewed a bunch of .US for $7.29 each @ GoDaddy.

For anyone with a good amount of domains, the Domain Discount Club makes sense.

It offers the lowest renewals on pretty much every extension without any coupons needed.

Yep, very well worth it. Plus, there is a coupon somewhere in the GoDaddy coupon thread that you can use for the Domain Discount Club, so it's even cheaper than what you see on the site.

Kla.us (as a backorder)

I thought this name hack was worth the risk.

welcome back Kenny!

Diabetes.us sold for $1,750.

This looks way too cheap

What do you think this name would have sold on snapnames for?

We'll never know how much it really would have sold for (if at all) at Snapnames, but IMHO any sale at Snapnames would be suspect because Snapnames admittedly perpetrated the largest known sustained domain name auction fraud in history, consisting of shill bids on thousands of auctions dating back to 2004 or 2005. They blamed it all on one single employee, but that doesn't seem plausible to me. If it would have sold at Snapnames, my opinion is that the auction would have been fraudulent. Remember my opinion, because it is based on historical fact.

noticed a nice landrush drop today of products, first names, LLLs. I attempted to grab a few, but unfortunately snapnames caught many of them.

I'm sickened that I placed my order a tad late. Only wanted about 4 but you snooze you lose!

Grats to winners the last couple days. I saw some familiar names in some of the auctions. Many at snapnames got too rich for me but I've still got some sticks in the fire through this week. So far I've won some good ones like staffing.us and liquorstore.us. Good times!

I've taken one name and I've no idea why.
With all the premiums out there.... I took:

Wait for it....

9-11.us

It's parked and will earn $0. This is truly the sign that I don't care about domaining in the slightest.

EDIT: I take that back. Google rejected it. I guess it's too edgy.

Landrush 2011 Drops

Does anyone have a list of the landrush domains that dropped over the weekend? Most of them should have sold at auction by now.

The ones I was following were Laptops.us, Adoption.us and Fish.us, all taken by the same guy over in Germany. There were others but these three stood out for me.

Yeah, I was after the same names. Oh well.

I did end up winning a handful like Recycling.us and OrangeCounty.us

So with those, you paid $69 at SnapNames and if Snapnames gets them, that $69 gets you into the Auction where you bid against others that paid the $69 as well?
