in a few weeks apple will release their tablets w/ apps to general public; they have been out for while, apple will make advertise and bloggers blog about ipad and tablets.

i will develop in a few months.

I was this close --><-- to buying that- I'll probably really regret it, just like I kick myself every day for not buying CreditScore.us when it was sitting out there for peanuts.

The only thing that gave me pause was that I'm not sure if the upcoming wave of tablet computing will 'genericize' the nomenclature as "tablets" or "pads". Seems "tablets" is the stronger candidate, though. Nice grab. It was cheap enough that either way that even if it goes the other way, you don't lose much- but I don't think you're going to lose.

Got Astrid.us (taken across the board in every gTLD and all the expected ccTLDs)

No plans for kids just yet, but it isn't like the the chance to get the pure firstname domain is an open-ended opportunity sort of thing; they're usually gone from the market forever once someone with that name gets a hold of it.

Aside from .com (owned by someone named Astrid) and maybe .net, .us was the one I wanted most, so, hooray.
