Just saw this paragraph in the Sedo report on .US domains. I purchased quite a few but I am not an American citizen and I live in Europe. Does this mean I cannot sell them or cannot legally be the registrant?

"The .US TLD may be registered by citizens and permanent residents of the United States or by any entity or organization which has a legitimate presence in the United States."

Please can someone explain a bit more and if my fears are groundless.
Regards

You are eligible to register .us domains if you are

American,
resident in America,
domiciled in America,
have your business incorporated in America, or /# linefeed #
your organization has a 'bona fide presence' in America,

If any names are registered by parties not eligible, these can be challenged post-registration by activating a dispute policy.

Does that mean I will loose my registration fees and my domains??? Look I just registered them yesterday and found out about these restrictions today. I have contacted my registrar and asked them to cancel my registrations for these domains and refund me. What is my position here???

Well I can't say anything about your position here. Better if you contact your registrar and let them know the exact problem, may be they could cancel you registration and refund you.

I would keep the domains and if somebody disputes then you can forfeit them but I haven't seen anyone have a problem with registering a .us domain and living overseas.
