I have Whack.net listed at Afternic (with a lot of my other names) but I haven't been to check on my account in a while. Well, I got an email from them today saying, "Whack.net has sold!" and when I went to look, it said that it sold for $750. Ughhhh! $750? I didn't say I wanted only $750 for it, did I?

Yup, I sure did... I had it listed for $750 as my asking price (and only $600 as a reserve!!!). :'( :'( :'( I don't wanna sell my precious for only $750!

After I sold Amaze.net for $1350 I wanted to cry. I REALLY needed the money at the time though, so that's some consolation. Right then and there I decided that I wouldn't sell Whack.net for less than $1500. The only problem with that important decision was I forgot to update my Afternic listing! :( Domain management is really tough. I guess that's what I get for trying to have a life outside of domain investing!

The little devil on my left shoulder says to just ignore the offer and maybe it will go away. The angel on my right is a badass though and I just know he won't put up with it!

Better take it out of your sig then! :hehe:

Congrats on your sale (even though it was lower than what you wanted) and I know what you mean. I have domains listed there as well, you can forget sometimes when you have a lot of domains to keep track of.

Yup, same thing happened to me on a domain.

Got an email saying it's sold for 150! Only ended up getting $90 out of it after fees.

Never again.

If you are honorable enough to go through with the sale then you should be smart enough to offer the guy $200 or so to not go through with it. You could probably even pay him $100 and then pay Afternic $75 and still keep the name. Everyone would be happy.

Good idea. I hadn't thought of that, but I believe I'd rather go through with the sale because it is my mistake after all. I just won't make it again.

:sold: :'(

Thanks for the sympathy fellas! :)
