I am sure it was a monster sale, but Fashion.tv was sold to Fashion-TV.com. This name was owned by Cybertavern who was the main investor behind the late Mrs. Jello. The domain name supposedly had a locked renewal fee of $50/yr. Will try to find more information, but the domain name just changed hands.

UPDATE: The seller has confirmed that the sale of Fashion.tv was $125,000.

Best,
A

What a sale!!

Outstanding if it changed hands on the reseller front.

Great research - thanks for reporting because this will be a documented case of a .COM holder acquiring the comparable .TV for a six-figure price.

Somebody really cares about the fashion industry in Tuvalu.

Makes me feel a bit better about my small .tv collection

ETA: This is the biggest .tv sale on the charts, isn't it?

Won't be on the charts yet. Unofficially, the whois changed and I reached out to the seller for price. To answer your question, it's the largest sale we have confirmation of.

dirt cheap bargain... considering sales figures and profit margins of LVMH, PPR and others second best industry domain (next to .com) should of done a lot better... new owners will probably cover their costs by 2015 even in a passive mode of operation

The sale's price needs to be confirmed by both parties to call it a confirmation.

No confirmation on this and don't believe it was true.

I remember there was a little back and forth on the confirmation of this golf.tv sale but I am almost positive that Ray (Equity78) had confirmed this sale in a previous post quite some time ago.

The seller has agreed to document this sale. I am now in contact with Ron Jackson to provide documentation. Another possible bombshell coming. :)

Thanks,

Superb hard work.

While one .TV sale doesn't necessarily make anyone else's .TV domains worth more, the .TV naysayers will treat it as another NDA sale unless there is supporting evidence it actually occurred at that price.

I believe there was equity and some other names involved. Not a straight 600K sale, so this can not be counted IMO.

As I stated, I have a few more bits of news coming out that will rattle the .tv space but want to make sure I do proper due diligence.
