Hi Everyone.

Thank you for your interest in the eBay auction of PopeBenedictXVI.com

Unfortunately eBay was a little upset that I had put questions at the
bottom of the auction after I ran out of space in the formal section for
Q&A's. They also picked out one question that I responded to saying
that they could email me if they wanted to make a private offer, not
knowing that I am refusing private offers and was directing everyone to
the eBay auction :)

Anyway ... when the auction closed the last price that I was aware of
was 19,100, so I've started the relisted auction at that price.

Here are some are some little stats. The counter at the bottom of the
page broke 50k I believe, there were over 800 people watching the
auction, somewhere in the area of 105 bids, and somewhere in the area
of 160 questions answered . . . Thanks eBay!

Anyway, I'm not bitter, that's life.

I've relisted the auction on ebay and there is a pool going in some
circles I'm part of on how long it will last :)

Stay Cool.

Also, don't worry, I won't email you again. This is just a one time
thing, I took the time to answer your questions ... you owe me :P

Oh . . . and feel free to complain to eBay LOL

i think buyers just annoyed by cancelling of auction again and again. May be the seller got greedy :) by canceling and relisting again 3 times or i said before the publicity of the name faded away.

I've seen auctions close with a price of over a million dollars for silly items. It's too bad you don't need to signup with a credit card or tap on your bank account or something else to help avoid phoney bids.

This has been an interesting week and a bit to say the least.

I'm not disappointed with the $6200 (from a person I know to be a legitimate buyer) for a $6.75 name, but of course $19,100+ would have been great. But I got jacked due to my own mistake and thats ok.

Overall it was a good experience, a lot of fun, a lot of work, a lot of frustration, and a little throwing things across the room ... (kidding)
