Has anyone used undeveloped.com to sell domains? They claim to be able to increase a domainers sales by 54%.

I would be nice to close the transaction and relist the domain for sale if you dont receive the money after a few weeks and/or if the buyer dont provide any answer to your payment reminder.

This is easy. Just request Undeveloped to stop pursuing the payment and ask them to relist the domain name.

I have also had many cases where the buyer did not pay. Even after 3-4 weeks if the buyer does not pay, I usually ask Undeveloped to stop pursuing the payment and ask them to relist the domain name again. In case the buyer does not pay, Undeveloped also shares the email id of the buyer with you.

sure but it would be nice to be done automatically after sending the buyer a last reminder. the problem is that we dont know why the payment is not sent.

It would be nice to add installment option to the item "add new lead"

Show attachment 97478

By the way, this is an incredibly great option. Recently I sold 3 domains by adding new customer which I found through outbounds. And one more request, in this case I had the same client and I had to fill out this form three times for each domain. It would be great to add the ability to specify multiple domains at once.

Hi Name Manager,

Great feedback. Our product design philosophy is to ship features as MVP fast and iterate and make it better based on market feedback (like yours) and data analysis.

Also please note that at the moment we can't offer installments at the same commission rate as for imported leads due to high recurring payment processing fees. So the absence of that option is also somewhat by design at the moment.

I have used Undeveloped now for a few months. I'm pleased with the service, the platform is nice and simple and the support is also very good.

One thing I'd really like is to have an option to change the currency for each domain, since when you have a large portfolio of different tlds, showing $ or £ for say europe domains could be offputting. I'm sure this has been raised before and I'd really like it to have this feature.

Thanks

@Undeveloped Please can you add this feature. I'd prefer to keep all my names at Undeveloped that go back to another Marketplace.

Hi Authority domains,

Did you know we show the local currency conversion rate under the BIN price in almost all regions and currencies in the world?

So a US buyer will always see the USD equivalent of your GBP price for clarity. A Chinese buyer will see the equivalent in Chinese Yuan.

We'll likely add the feature to set a specific currency per domain, however, I wonder how many sellers will actually use it as changing those currency settings for hundreds if not thousands of domains would be an extremely time-consuming action without it clearly giving you an edge to sell more names.

hello,

I have many domains in "transactions" status which have been sold but the payment have been never received. Some domains have been sold more than 3 months ago. I would be nice to close the transaction and relist the domain for sale if you dont receive the money after a few weeks and/or if the buyer dont provide any answer to your payment reminder.

David.

Hi David,

That's somewhat surprising to hear since our guys actively start chasing buyers when they don't pay within 3 days and cancel the ones with your consent if it seems futile to keep the transaction(s) open.

Can you PM me some details about which transactions you currently have that are that aged so I can look into it?

Kind regards,

sure but it would be nice to be done automatically after sending the buyer a last reminder. the problem is that we dont know why the payment is not sent.

Often due to our guys closely and actively being on top of all active transactions those "delayed" sales eventually do materialize. So the trade-off of closing transactions automated is that you might lose hard earned sales.

Quick update - we don't actively chase transactions below $500 and I do observe a delay there. What we'll implement as a solution is a notification in the transaction conversation after for example 30 days, with the option for you (the seller) to cancel the transaction without having to ask this to your account manager or support. We'll also make sure we're more on top of these transactions now that we've identified the cause of the problem.

I see you accept payments in BTC.
Buyers can to make offer only in USD.
Is it possible to add bitcoin in Make Offer for a buyer's choice? I think every domainer can accept offers/payments in BTC.
It will be an excellent instrument/service for a crypto domains, a crypto buyers. Easier to offer/counter offer in BTC, than USD

Thanks

I opened a undeveloped account, bulk loaded all names, changed a lot of nameservers to standard undeveloped ns1.undeveloped.com ns2. , but my landing pages show as unsecure.
I know I can check the box Redirect your buyers to your internal marketplace for sales pages

Does this have to be done to have secure lander? I ask because others seem to be not using the undeveloped redirect, and have secure landing pages.

Hi, SSL certificates installed after first visit.

Sometimes a buyer will leave only their first name when submitting an offer making it impossible to know who we are dealing with or how to best interact/counter to a just a number.

Maybe consider adding a Comment Box for a short message along with offer? It'll be a little bit easier to recognize serious inquiries as they come in.

@Undeveloped

When will we be able to send multiple counter offers or have the ability to accept prior offers were countered??? This is killing deals imo and sellers are the ones losing. We should be in full control

jc ... do u have your dns pointing to them?

I recently was told it can increase your %sales.. but obviously, its more just for accurate stats and graphs and all that.. as there is no direct relation to better sales ratio from having dns point to them.

at least none I can think of. I currently just forward to their sale lander via redirect.. and without the search bar on top.. now that imo can have an impact on sale/lead ratios.. having the searchbar vs not having it

so I make sure not to show it

While the primary determinant in any domain sale is the desire of the buyer - a simple, clear, seamless UI/UX experience will positively influence the buyer and create a greater opportunity to strike a deal.

Hi Tom, Undeveloped 1.0 had a comment field and it was heavily abused to almost only send spam and try to get to bid under your minimum price.

The feature to revoke your counter-offer and send a new offer will be launched soon. Based on all the negotiation data that we see, sending multiple lower counters to buyers without letting the buyer respond first is the biggest deal killer though. So our advice would still be to let the buyer always decide first and react before you lower your price.

It's all about price point validation. End-users often don't know how much a domain is worth and sometimes form a price point based on the price you send them. When you lower your asking price "easily" without them reacting you break down the price point perception and often those leads turn into no sales.

Bye the way: SSL certificates aren't added to newly parked names for 48 hours now due to a hard max limit that we've hit (we've already put SSL on 1.2Million domains).

We're trying to resolve the issue and increase the limit so we can continue generating certs. I'm expecting this issue to be resolved this week but we're dependent on a third party at the moment to give us the green light.

Have you guys noticed the load speed improvements on your for sale pages that we implemented yesterday?

The above is the performance of a lander without a background.

I don't see any SSL even on domains which were added 5-9 days ago...

Hi Jurgen,

Can you please send the domains you're referring to via Support so we can give it a look. We have already identified the problem as stated before so a fix is underway.

Kind regards,
Reza

Hi RDom,

The buyer will receive automated reminders and calls from our team for at least three weeks until they pay.

If you'd like to cancel a transaction before that timeframe, simply contact support and they'll do it for you timely. Soon you can also cancel transactions yourself if the payment hasn't been secured within the preferred timeframe.

Kind regards,
Reza
