Under what circumstance and a domain name have a TM name?

For example, I saw lots of websites with the word android such as androidpit.com, androidpolice.com, and androidguys.com. They all have the word android, yet they are still allowed. I just wonder under what circumstance it is allowed.

I'd stay away even though, in theory, there are some circumstances where using TM as a part of the domain might not be an infringement. IMO, just too risky. There was this one site, ikeahackers.com (i think), that existed for years and was even "officially" approved by Ikea until Ikea just changed their mind.

I remember before there was issues regarding sucks.com, but later it is ok to register for expressing your opinion instead of taking advantage of someone's trademark for business.
