hi!

Been a lurker for a while, and i got a few questions.

As the topic says its about typos. I have been developing a small typo generator script, and i am looking for typo combinations.

I have the 'drop one letter'
I have the turn letters around. (abcd -> acbd)
I have the 'm for n' and vice versa
I have the 'p for o' and vice versa

After havning spent a few hours seraching this board i cant seem to find any more. Are there any obvious combinations
i have missed ?

Also, a more general question.

Im thinking of making this script public, and havning an affiliate 'register it' link. If it was a good script and you found a typo that you would register with the script, would you register the domain via my affiliate link or would you just go to your favorite registrar?

Thanks

Messing up the "s" and the "c" are common typos.

Hehe ;)
The script ofcourse has a logging feature, admin can check all the querys made. I someone leaves that great typodomain unregistered ill snatch it.

Seriously, if i ever publish the script, ill put in a cache thingy so i dont get banned from overture for making 100k requests per hour, and that means i can check all the querys made to the script.

why bother programming when I already went through the trouble :D

lol. Thats a good script.

Another one you can add is switich letters to ones next to it.

like if i typed in the letter "h" you can replace it with g or j

You need to look at each letter and replace it with the 6 or so letters that surround it on the keyboard.

You need to look at what happens when you type the entire name with all your fingers moved one key over to the right (it rarely happens to the left).

We have literally HUNDREDS of other mistype tricks. We didn't need to do research to find them. We just asked our two staffers who used to teach TYPING in high schools. :)

i would still go with my favourite registrar, for simplicity and ease of use.
