Help me figure this out. Why would a site have a great pagerank and horrible Alexa rank, or vice versa? And which is a true measure of potential visitors to a site?
Thanks!!!

I have noticed that sites with very good Alexa rankings are sometimes not picked up in the aftermarket...is this because the ranking was actually for a forward to another site that is no longer in place?
yes alexa rating based upon there on toolbar traffic, so alexa is not always correct...google PR is showing your site popularity, so google PR is good....
Alexa is not reliable at all. My site is ranked around 80,000 on alexa, but statistics show that 65% of my visitors are using Firefox! If those firefox users were using IE with the Alexa Toolbar, my site would be ranked much higher.
In general, a good alexa number should give you traffic. If you have good PR, it only
means that you may rank high when someone search your key words. If no one searches
your key word, then you don't get much traffic.
