I am trying to decide between a two word .org and a three word .com

This would be for a website futher down the road but with some inroads for .org lately i am almost swaying towards the shorter .org which to me has equal keywords and is and easy to remember

Normally shorter is better, but it depends on the exact 3 words. Some 3 or 4 word phrases can be easier to remember that one word.

So far as the .org, that would depend on what's happening with the .com. I will soon launch a site on a .org that I got for a couple hundred dollars. The .com was quoted to me at almost $200 thousand, so I know it will probably be safely parked for a while. If the .com is tied up or not otherwise likely to come into competition, then the .org or .net is nice - depending again on the exact words.
Also, if branding is important to you, you may need the .com.

while i keep searching i have actually come across a three word .org that is perhaps a mix between the two and it is a school related category so i still feel the .org is a reasonable choice and the .com is parked

The only other option now is that the .net is also available but i keep looking at the .org in preference with the knowledge the content will be what wins out at the end of the day

.org is generally not suitable for business

so you should choose a .com
3 or 2 words

In that case, .org is exceptional - almost preferable to .com.
By the way... it's spelled "skool";)

If this is a major project I'd get the .net also and redirect it to the .org

I voted for short orgs work fine only after reading this thread and finding that the domain is for educational use.
