Twinmind.com is now a $100m startup and I am the one who sold them TwinMind.com domain name. I had twinmind.io when i sold them the .com for around 8k.

I had no idea they were the ones buying as they were a stealth startup.

What would be .io valuation?

Congrats on the .com sale, that's a solid exit even if they grew huge later.

Regarding the .io: Since the brand is now established and worth $100m on the .com, the .io has transitioned from a 'brandable asset' to a strictly 'defensive asset'.

It’s hard to sell to a third party now due to potential TM issues with the main company. Your best bet is selling it to them for brand protection. Realistically, I’d value it in the low to mid $x,xxx range as a defensive acquisition for them. They might grab it just to redirect traffic.

This domain is not a defensive asset. Selling it to a third party is impossible because of TM. Only TwinMind.com could buy it. But if they have even a bit of sense, they won’t buy it, and the domain owner will have to renew the .io version for the rest of his life.
