Hi,

I'm not sure i really understood what i read about .tv domains. I heard about expensive renewal fees for "premium" .tv domains. What does that mean? What is a premium domain and how do i check this before buying a domain name? Does that mean i could end up paying thousands of dollars after buying a domain?

Yes, some domains are going for thousands of dollars. Not all .tv domains, but the hottest potential domains where classified as PREMIUM. They go for as little as $500 to as much as $750,000. Only a small percentage are classified a PREMIUM. You would know if your domain was PREMIUM, before you register it. They don't do the bait and switch.

Go t enom.tv to see if the domain you want is classified as PREMIUM.

Thanx for the answer. I still don't understand why when i select one of these "premium" domains with my registrar they are available for $42.95? Those huge renewal fees mean the domain will cost more the next year or what ?

Well, it's available at my registrar but when i check the domain at enom.tv it says it's a premium ....

I would try to pick it up through your registrar if you feel it is a good name. Sounds like a loophole.

Just checked and no, the domains are not available at GoDaddy. Weird ...
