I'm curious - how well can a TV fansite do? I've been considering making one for Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis.
I would really like to get to work developing a site, and this is probably my favorite idea. My problem is, I don't know that a site about a cable TV science fiction show could ever do very well. Something like ~1.4 million people watch the new episodes every week, which is a lot less than the 16 million House gets and over 30 million CSI was getting two years ago.
So, is there a market for my site? I will do it either way, but I want to know if this is something I could make some money on (not much money, this is more for fun, but I would still like to make a chunk of change off it, perhaps for buying a few more domains :P).
