As to why I didn't just reg them myself?

I like to be a nice person and help others out. It's a way of doing my kind deed for the day. Ya I might miss out on making a few bucks, but I'm helping somebody else make those couple bucks as well. Heck, then someday, maybe somebody will help me out

Well off of just registering some of those PR3 and up domains how much do you think one might make? Outta curiousity?

Depends on the name. It can take several years to get a PR, so if you are developing a site and have it ready, but only need a domain the PR helps. It will depend also if the domain is getting traffic. Traffic is King, so if it's getting traffic, then you may be able to get a better judge on price.

I picked up a PR 4 the other day www.Fire22.com it has 1 link and it get's 100-125 uniques per day No CTR right now, but I'm playing with keywords. So at that rate it's looking at getting over 45,000 hits per year. I'm sure this will drop off some, but if you can get those hits on a site that even half of those people like, it's money in the bank, for only reg fee

I have not figured the whole traffic thing out. If you ask most people they would say the Higher the Pr the better with 1,000 + links the better. I have both and the domains with lower link count always seem to do better. lol

Here is The guage that I always use. Low Alexa Score (2,000,000 or lower), Lp of 800 or greater and DMOZ listed. If you can find an expiring domain with that, it's going to get some decent traffic.

On the other hand, Fire22.com has No Alexa Rank, Link Popularity of 1 and it's a PR4???????

So like I said, I have not figured out the whole Expired domain traffic thing yet.

It's always good to do some digging on the domain you are thinking about getting. Find out what the old site was. This will help you in the long run for setting keywords or for what kind of site you should direct that traffic to.

So where do you like to park your domains at? Sedo? I guess I'm just wondering because I assume the main goal is to only reg domains that will pay off their initial cost of aquiring them.

So can someone give me an estimate (very rough I know) that say a PR3 site will make in a year? Like say, any one of those PR3's you have?

Having a PR means pretty little to be honest... and means absolutely nothing in terms of hw much money the domain will make when its parked.

You can have a site with almost no traffic that has a good PR, aswell as a good site that has no PR.

PR merely means other sites are linking to you.

Jamie....this info is just great cos most of the time we are faced with hardly any data on expired domains so these lists you have at least gives us an idea...although as you said...no guarantees...

I myself found a PR3 the other day but due to it being very nichey....I didnt reg it...for sure PR is no guarantee of any traffic whatsover...let alone make any real clicks...we just dont know..
