Hi,

Has anyone else had trouble with WhyPark's One Domain Trial? You get to try it out one domain for free to see how it goes. Sounds like a nice trial.

BUT

I switched over my nameservers over a week ago and the domain still resolves to the whypark home page. My first email got a response asking "Have you setup the domain within the WhyPark domain manager as well?"

I responded with yes and have not heard back...the domain still does not resolve.....

Have other people gotten this level of service?

I'm using the one domain trial and everything worked for me. it's not a WhyPark issue but more a an issue at the registrar where you have your domain residing.
I changed the nameservers and followed the steps outlined in the control panel and everything worked fine for me.

It's best to contact your registrar to find out if everything is set correctly.

Thanks for the reply.

I'm not sure what else I can do at my registrar....I changed over the nameservers for the domain to whypark's nameservers and they are clearly working since the domain now resolves to whypark's home page.

Am I missing something?

Hmm.. it could be due to some wrong edit settings entries. After you select add domains, remember to add your domain name as abcds.com instead of wwwdotabcdfs.com. Make sure you have entered a keyword. This might get things started.

Since you mention that you can view the Whypark Homepage, it means your settings on the registrar side are fine.

I have all that configured correctly. The only thing I don't have yet is the Top Ad Code and the Bottom Ad Code. Maybe it is required? I was waiting to see the site live before tinkering with this....

Nope thats not a pre-requisite. It should work fine even without the ads.

As Varon said, you don't need to put in the ad codes. Have you double checked your domain name to make sure the www is not in there and that the domain is not misspelled. I did that on one of mine and kept staring at it trying to figure out why it was not working. Have you added your site name and chosen your keywords and layout? As long as those few things are done, then it should work. Try clicking on edit and as long as those things are completed, choose "submit" at the bottom. Does it tell you in red how many articles you have? If it is 0 then perhaps only the homepage shows because there are no articles to show.

Thanks for all the feedback. Given the advice I changed my domain from the Unicode version to the ascii version (the one that starts xn--) and now it works....seems like WhyPark wants IDN in the format.

Kudos for what (now) seems like a straightforward setup....points off for customer service response time.

Still the price is right...now I'll check to see how well it works.

Thanks again for the help.
