Transferring .Orgs Out Of NameCheap

Anybody transferred a .org or .info out of NameCheap yet? I can't find where to get the transfer code.

If they dont have a place to retrieve it on the site, I dont think I would be crazy about giving out my user info via email everytime I needed to transfer one. Any help would appreciated since I have a few due in the next month.

I myself wasn't to happy about their process when I moved my .orgs away from NC. Took two emails and over 24 hours to get the code.

They should have it in the interface like most registrars enom,registerfly,godaddy

Yep, they need to. That is one thing that I am not crazy about regarding NameCheap. Usually, they are one of the best registrars out there imo.

Yeah - I have had he same problem with them a couple of times but having said that, I haven't had to wait too long - they always respond quickly for me but it is a pain having to go through this each time I want to transfer and renew.

I believe there's a way to get the EPP code through the interface, but they don't make it easy. If I can remember how, I'll let you know...

This has been discussed before. The only way to get it is to contact them via email

Yes the horrible thing is you are required to giver your name + password via email. Not very secure way of doing things IMO.

Yea, thats what I was asking

I have like 5 .orgs expiring soon that I guess I will renew there. I just don't think I will give my password in an email.

Hopefully, this gets changed very soon.
