Transferring domain name from ENOM to NameCheap

Hi,

Is it possible to transfer my domain name from enom to Namecheap? I have owned the domain name for more than six months. And also, will my domain be pointing to the right DNS Namesever during the time of transferring?

Any help / comments will be appreciated.

NameCheap is reseller of Enom. Why would you want to do that?

hmm.. ok, I am given the domain account by my host at:

http://access.enom.com/LogIn.asp

but it seems like I do not have the option to renew the domain.. if i can transfer the domain to my Namecheap account, I can renew it there and keep it all under one account.. is this possible?

Just do a transfer (you'll pay the standard rate for one year's registration) and that will accomplish what you need done. You cannot push a name from Enom into Namecheap but you can just do a transfer.

Thanks SwampFox. May I know how can I do a tansfer? I did not find the transfer option in my account.. Or is it done via Email?

You'll need to create an account with Namecheap (it's free) and then follow their lead. There will be a button in the top menu (top lighter blue strip) that you click on to get started. From there, just follow the directions and feel free to ask us if you have any questions. Namecheap support is also available as well.

If you're managing it from http://access.enom.com then there is no push option, even to push it to another eNom account. That is an sub-management area offered by an eNom reseller.

Follow Dever's instructions above and you'll be fine moving it into NameCheap. Just a note, make sure you login to the domain management area you have now and unlock the domain before starting the transfer at NameCheap.
