So I'm auctioning off a bunch of domain names for the first time. They were registered at netfirms and the new owner wants them pushed to godaddy. I've tried searching their help, but am lost on what I need to do. Do I need to manually change the contact information in netfirms control panel, then somehow initiate a push? Any help is appreciated.

You need to unlock the domains at netfirms, and obtain the transfer authorization code for each from netfirms (probably an option in the control panel; if you can't find it, check netfirms support). Then give the buyer this authorization code. That's what they need to transfer it to a registrar of their choice.

The gaining registrar will send a confirmation request to the administrative contact in public WHOIS, so make sure that's up to date, and you'll have to approve the request for it to go through.
