Transferring Domain

Hi, I have a doubt and i hope it can be cleared here.

Previously i hosted my domain with Just Host Ltd and used their registrar as my domain registrar (pipeDNS) . Currently my domain should be expired which is on 11th Feb but i had requested my registrar to unlock the domain and the EPP code for transfer process. And my service provider did it accurately and when i do a whois for my domain there are expiration date but the status is active.

My new registrar is refusing the transfer with reason expiring domain name and expired domain can't be transferred.

Can anyone clear me or tell me that if this make sense at all?

try and backorder it or grab it when it drops sounds like your only hope now!

The domain name must be in redemption or even pending-delete.

Check: VeriSign WHOIS - Domain Name Lookup from VeriSign, Inc.

Yep, based on the Feb-11th date, the OP is probably a few days too late to save it. Redemption has likely just ended and it's in pending-delete.

It's possible the registrar waited until the very last day to delete it, in which case, the OP might still have a day or two left to recover it.

There are some other obscure possibilities, so the OP needs to check the VeriSign whois link sdsinc posted and see what the current status actually is...

If it's in Redemption-Period, contact, including calling, your current registrar asap.

If it's in Pending-Delete, wait several days and try registering it again using a different registrar (yours may still think it's already registered from before) and/or back-order it.

If it's in any other status, still with the original registration date (not a new registration), then post the status(es) here.
