Hi,

I'm just transferring a domain from DomainSite to GoDaddy and it failed because the domain status is "Active".

What do I need to do to make the transfer succeed?

Thanks,

Did you make sure it was unlocked ?

If you recently just got the domain from a purchase from someone else or just registered it, you'll need to wait 60 days. I could be totally wrong but I have about 4 domains in limbo because I'm trying to transfer them from another registrar (or reseller) after having just bought them from someone else. Hope that helps. Good luck!

Did you initiate the transfer and receive an email with an authorization code that you would need to enter?

Did that too... then once I did that it sent me a failure notice, which I stated above.

Get in touch with DomainSite and see why you're not able to get the domain transferred out. It'll be the quickest way to solve the issue. Good luck. From what I know it would only be a problem if the domain you are transferring over was just recently purchased or moved to domainsite within the last 60 days.
