I just got off the chat support with Tierra.net.
Unlike namecheap or dotster, tierra.net has an extra feature called "Legal Owner".
So, if somebody pushes his domain to my account, I will still see the previous owner as the Legal Owner.
In order to make myself as a Legal Owner, we need to submit a copy of photo ID to Tierra.net.
I asked Tierra.net - "Can I move domain to namecheap without updating legal ownership?"
Tierra - Yes.
Me - After moving to namecheap. Can a previous owner take my domain name back if he wants to?
Tierra - yes.
Is that how it is?
All this time, I've transferred domains by just pushing it out... case closed.
I didn't know the previous owner can take my domain name back like that.
