.tv Traffic (.tv traffic) Talk

When I first registered (?Domain)TV.tv (a tv.tv) back in Jan of 07 it had some traffic but nothing like today. With still 7 days left in this month or so, the domain has received 428 unique views and 160 clicks! That is close to 40 percent CTR! This domain is undeveloped and parked. I am seeing surges in many domains and to me this means that awareness in increasing and/or more domainers are searching and/or more development is sprouting up, or a combo of these assumptions.

Are you seeing the same? Is it more with generic keywords or the brandable type? For me it is more the generic keyword type. Please do not list your names in this thread as this is NOT a sales thread, speak in fictitious terms when describing a domain or group of domains in your portfolio.

There is an increase in traffic for my adult .tv domain name, and it's getting a lot of clicks.

Like you said, I think .tv is starting to be recognized by more and more people.
As more people start to become aware of .tv, we'll start seeing an increase in the type-in traffic and such.

That is interesting because the domain that I am referring to is of adult nature as well and in Spanish.

I have one adult .tv, unadvertised, and actually I have it parked as a medical term. 254 visiters in August, 570 in September, 141 in October. After October 7th, in fact, it is back down to a trickle, like a spigot turned off.

Believe it or not, i have one IDN.tv that gets around ~150uniques/day. Amazing. It is a premium name, just if anyone is wondering (Premium = one of those REALLY good terms that are hard to get).

The IDN.com gets around 300uniques/day. **

** IDN Browsers such as IE7 + Firefox have yet to take over market share for the market this IDN is targeting. In about 2 years, I'd predict this domain will be getting a lot more traffic. Last year it was only getting around 50 uniques/month [the .tv]... but that was before IE7s release .

Yep. It's a generic term that I just got super lucky with. I also got lucky and picked up some Geo IDNs... you know I understand IDNs might be crap to people but WOW. I was so skeptical when I first started and last year TRAFFIC WAS SH!T! It hit me when Vista was released that these things might be worth something one day !
