Trademrk question regarding Niche domains

Hello everyone,

I was curious if anyone here can explain the ins and outs of trademark issues.
My question is.... with terms such as "smart", "lifi", "vr", "gesture", "ar", etc....
I see many people register domains with the word smart with another word. Or Vr with another word.
Is there trademark issues that could come about from this? Or is a person safe registering lifiword or gestureword.

Anyway.... any opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

It depends. You have to look at the whole domain. Not just parts of it.
