Many of the domains I registered were ones that I thought I might use at some point or another. How far can a trademark go? If there is no trademark for the domain, should I also potentially try and file for a trade mark? What prevents someone from filing for a trade mark after I've registered my domain than attempting to have it taken from me? Let's take trip advisor that is clearly trade marked. But can a person register other type of "advisor" domains so long as it does not include tripadvisor? For example Home Advisor (I don't own it).

Just looking for more information on this topic.

As long as your domains does not violate these three guidelines:
  • The domain name is identical or confusingly similar to a trademark or service mark in which the complainant has rights;
  • The registrant does not have any rights or legitimate interests in the domain name; and
  • The domain name has been registered and the domain name is being used in "bad faith".
Then any domain you register should be safe from a UDRP.

Good luck!
